An impetus for a more inclusive LGBT history

Together with Naomie Pieter, PhD candidate Wigbertson Isenia curated the exhibition ‘Nos tei’.

The exhibition Nos tei (Papiamentu/o for 'We are there' or 'We exist') is a critical follow-up to the ‘With Pride’ exhibition, which was shown in Amsterdam in 2018.

‘Nos tei’ shows two bicultural LGBT movements from the eighties and nineties in the Netherlands, Suho (Surinamese Homosexuals 1980 - 1985) and Strange fruit (1989 - 2003).

The exhibition will open in Rotterdam in September 2019.
